Colonial Day, New this year...Compete in "Colonial Challenges"
Saturday, October 6th, 2007, Noon to 4pm, Rain or Shine
General admission is $2 per person, Members free

Join us on the National Colonial Farm and help the Bolton family prepare for winter. Compete with other visitors in "Colonial Challenges" like rolag making, mattress stuffing, candle dipping, fruit stringing, quill writing, fence building and more!

Costumed interpreters will be making jerky, roasting ears of corn, making baskets, spinning wool, making herbal remedies and more throughout the day. Visitors can chat with the blacksmith, spinner, baker, basket-maker, and herbalist and find out why they're visiting the Bolton family.

At 3:00 p.m., try your hand at a game of rounders, or cheer for your favorite team! Hotdogs, popcorn, and drinks will be available for sale at the Visitor Center.
