Piscataway Park Field Trips
Service Description
From tidal wetlands to woodlands, students experience the landscape through the perspective of Piscataway People and traditional Indigenous stewardship ethics and ecological knowledge of the watershed's natural and cultural resources. Our programs are designed to show the inherent interconnectedness of social studies and environmental literacy. By weaving these often siloed subjects together and grounding in place-based outdoor education, we strengthen student understanding. All Accokeek Foundation school programs examine the perspectives and complex interconnectedness of the three major communities of this Land: Piscataway, Black, and Settler. (Price listed is cost per student. Discounted tour prices available to Title 1 schools)
