About the event
Join the “Revolution Then & Now: Community Voices,” a community workshop series that invites participants to reflect on the past, connect with the present, and help create a shared future during a landmark year.
In 2026, the Accokeek Foundation will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 50th anniversary of the Trail of Self‑Determination. This workshop series centers community voices in shaping these commemorations.
The second workshop of the series, “Education as Liberation,” will examine the role of education in moving the community forward. Participants will engage in discussions and hands‑on activities that explore how we learn and the power of ideas.
Light refreshments will be provided.
