Farmers interested in adding heritage breeds to their herds and flocks can purchase breeding stock and market animals from the Accokeek Foundation's barnyard. We sell American Milking Devon cattle, Ossabaw hogs, and Hog Island sheep.
Fiber artists interested in working with heritage breed wool can purchase Hog Island fleece and fiber from the barnyard as well. We sell raw fleeces, roving, and hand-spun yarn.
Proceeds from farm sales support the Accokeek Foundation's work to preserve these unique and endangered animal breeds.
Are you looking to add heritage breeds to your farming operation? Or are you a long-time heritage breed farmer in need of new stock? The Accokeek Foundation breeds and sells cattle, hogs, and sheep to farmers interested in raising rare breeds.

Calling all fiber artists! Whether you're participating in Shave 'Em to Save 'Em, or you just love working with heritage breed wool and yarn, you can purchase fiber from the Accokek Foundation's flock of Hog Island sheep for your next project.
Purchase wool straight from the sheep. We sell whole fleeces or raw wool by the pound. Fleeces are skirted, and the average staple length for Hog Island is about two inches.
Purchase Hog Island roving ready for spinning. We sell both mill and hand-processed roving by the ounce. Quantities are limited each year as most wool is processed by Foundation volunteers.
Thank you to everyone across the country who has purchased Hog Island wool for Shave 'Em to Save 'Em. Your purchased help support the Foundation's work to conserve this very special rare breed!
