About the event
Join the “Revolution Then & Now: Community Voices,” a community workshop series that invites participants to reflect on the past, connect with the present, and help create a shared future during a landmark year.
In 2026, the Accokeek Foundation will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the 50th anniversary of the Trail of Self‑Determination. This workshop series centers community voices in shaping these commemorations.
The third workshop of the series, “Justice in Place,” will examine the role of stewardship in empowering communities. Participants will engage in discussions and hands‑on activities that explore the connection between community and stewardship.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Registration is free but to ensure a meaningful and engaging experience, registration is limited to 30 participants. Community members are invited to take part in this workshop, centering lived experience, honoring history, and imagining what comes next.
