About the event

We’ve taken a look at the people and livestock of Piscataway Park, but what other kin calls the park home? During this storytime session, we’ll explore the wild animals and plants that call the park home. After the books are over, stick around to take a walk down the Pumpkin Ash trail to visit the river, woods, and wetland ecosystems found here.

These programs are developed specifically for children aged 3-5, but younger and older children will have fun too.

All our storytimes support early literacy skills by including books, songs, fingerplays, felt board games, and dancing. These activities develop alphabet knowledge, concepts about print, phonological awareness, expressive vocabulary, fine and gross motor skills, which together make up the foundations of learning to read and lifelong learning.
